On April 29, 2026, the Review Board held an open house in Fort Good Hope to discuss the environmental assessment process. This document provides a summary of the open house and the Review Board's presentation.
On April 28, 2026, the Review Board staff met with K’áhshó Got’ı̨nę Committee and Rádeyı̨lı̨kóé leadership to discuss the environmental assessment process. This is a summary report of this meeting.

Letters are to provide an update on the status of Imperial Oil Resources N.W.T Limited's environmental assessments: Cancellation of the EAs for Line 490 Replacement Project (EA2425-01) and Norman Wells Operations (EA2425-02); and Confirmation that the EA for the Closure and Reclamation of Imperial s Norman Wells Facilities (EA2526-01) remains active and is proceeding; and, Reiterate the Government of Canada's and the GNWT's approach to consultation.
The Review Board is hosting an open house in Fort Good Hope on April 29th to discuss the environmental assessment process for Imperial's Closure and Reclamation of its Norman Wells oilfield. The Review Board continues to work with communities to find dates for additional meetings. The Review Board proposes to initially hold Workshops in Rádeyı̨lı̨ kóé (Fort Good Hope) and Tłegǫ́hłı̨ (Norman Wells) and followed by workshops in Tulita and Délı̨nę. A Workshop in Yellowknife is also being considered.
