The developer has submitted the existing Norman Wells Interim Closure and Reclamation Plan to serve as a draft “Proposal for Development” for the self referral request. 

This is an addendum to the Interim Closure and Reclamation Plan that provides an update on work and activities from 2017 to 2022.

PR348 GNWT Response to MVEIRB Notice of Proceeding regarding Pehdzeh Ki First Nation’s Request for Ruling to have the Review Board accept their confidential Indigenous Knowledge in written form. The Government of the Northwest Territories has no issue with the Request for Ruling.

The Review Board received a request for ruling to accept confidential Traditional Indigenous Knowledge from Pehdzeh Ki First Nation. Parties have until March 31 to provide any comments for the Review Board to consider when making its decision.

The KGC is not available for to attend the proposed public hearings during the week of May 12-16.  The KGC is proposing the week of May 19 - 23 to hold public hearings. 

K’ahsho Got’ine Committee is seeking a one-week extension to provide feedback on the proposed schedule for the community hearings.

This is Imperial's Interim Closure and Reclamation Plan (ICRP) for the Norman Wells Operations. This document is an interim plan that is a requirement of the Norman Wells Operations water licence issued by the Sahtu Land and Water Board. Imperial proposes to use this ICRP to serve as a draft “Proposal for Development”. The ICRP can be used to inform and further develop a final Closure and Reclamation Plan.
