This environmental assessment is on the final closure of Imperial Oil's Norman Wells operations.

This is a draft scoping document. The Review Board is seeking comments on the proposed scope and approach described in this document and will incorporate what is heard into future scoping documents.

The Review Board held an information session on Aug 28 for the technical scoping sessions on Sept 16-18. The note to file provides a summary of the meeting and the Board's presentation is attached. 

The Review Board will host community scoping sessions in September including:

  • Tulít’a on Tuesday Sept 9
  • Délı̨nę on Wednesday Sept 10
  • Tsiigehtshic on Thursday Sept 25
  • Inuvik on Friday Sept 26

The Review Board will also host a technical scoping session in Yellowknife on Sept 16 – 18.
