Paramount letter to accompany submission of revegetation, permafrost, and access monitoring report to the National Energy Board
This document was submitted in accordance with Condition #53 of the approved Land Use Permit and National Energy Board orders.
Specifically addresses DCFN concerns on Paramount's choice of non-native tree species for the re-vegetation seed mixture. The DCFN also inquired about monitoring and Paramount compliance of measures and regulations during the lifetime of the project.
Mackenzie Valley telephoned Chief Karen Thomas inquiring about their information request to Paramount Resources Ltd. Ms. Thomas said they wanted more information on the Benefits Package and the job hire program.
Environment Canada indicates that they do not have any specific concerns regarding the requested amendment, however concerning the erosion problem, there will need to be proper mitigation measures. Environment Canada will review this.

The Department of Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development reviewed the Land Use Permit MV2000P0055 and Water License MV2000L1-0014 and offer their comments. The second page has been misplaced.
The NEB presents a Preliminary Screening Matrix and a Scope of Development Proposal outlining: type of development, principal activities, and principal development components.
The West Point First Nation state that they will not be supporting this land use application until further information is obtained from Paramount resources Ltd.
The Kaƒ_Taƒ_T Gee Tu First Nation request to re-schedule their meeting with Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board due to the fact that there was not adequate time given to consider and respond to these amendment applications.
