How to Subscribe to Projects and Screenings:

  • Subscribe:
    • Use the subscribe button to add your email and receive notification about new documents for a project.
    • Choose to subscribe or unsubscribe from a specific project.
    • Existing subscribers from the Online Review System can also log in to the site to manage subscriptions.
  • Online Review System Dashboard:
    • Login using the Login with MVRB ORS button at bottom left of the home page.
    • Go to my account.
    • Manage and view subscriptions and comments.

The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board is pleased to announce the public release of the new Regional Database and Major Project Review Tool. The platform has been developed to improve access to regional information, strengthen cumulative effects understanding, and support more coordinated and informed decision-making across the North. Please see the attached official public release document.

The Review Board is grateful for the funding and support provided by Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, as well as ICI Innovations, whose technical expertise was integral to the design, development, and implementation of the tools. The Review Board also thanks Fortune Minerals for providing data and support that helped establish the proof of concept for the Major Project Review Tool.

The Review Board further acknowledges and thanks the many Indigenous governments and organizations, regulators, government departments, proponents, and individuals who contributed information, reports, mapping, and other publicly available data that helped populate the database to date.

To showcase the tools, the Review Board will host a public Open House on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife, NT (Kat D & E Rooms). The event will include live demonstrations of the platform and opportunities for attendees to explore the tools, ask questions, and provide feedback. An open house will also be held in conjunction with the International Association of Impact Assessment Conference in Quebec City, with details of that event to follow.

This work reflects a collaborative effort to improve information sharing, transparency, and long-term readiness for increasing development and infrastructure planning across the North.
