Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Development of an Environmental Assessment and Regulatory Training Course

Note new submission deadline is now March 14, 2025: The Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board (Review Board), on behalf of the NWT Board Forum, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to develop a training course on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Land and Water Regulatory Process in the Mackenzie Valley and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

The NWT Board Forum Training Program is an initiative designed to build the capacity of Board members and stakeholders engaged in environmental impact assessment, land and water regulation, and co-management processes in the Northwest Territories. This course will provide an overview of:
• The legal and regulatory framework governing environmental assessment and land and water management.
• Key enabling statutes and policies relevant to the EIA and regulatory process.
• The step-by-step process of EIA and land and water regulation, including consultation responsibilities and stakeholder engagement.
• The role of co-management Boards and other regulatory bodies in the decision-making process.

The course will be developed for both in-person and online training delivery.
