The Review Board is holding public hearings in Nahanni Butte on May 24th and in Fort Simpson on the 25th and 26th of May, 2011.
The hearings will discuss Canadian Zinc Corporation’s proposed Prairie Creek Mine located approximately 90 km northwest of Nahanni Butte and 185 km northwest of Fort Simpson in the Dehcho Region. The proposed underground lead/zinc mine will have a production rate of up to 1,200 tonnes per day and a mine life of 14 years.
