The Review Board is holding a public scoping session/workshop in Yellowknife for INAC-Contaminants & Remediation Directorate’s proposed remediation plan for Giant Mine. The remediation plan is for the clean up of the Giant Mine site, including the future disposition of 237,000 tonnes of arsenic currently stored underground in the mine.

The Review Board would like to hear what issues interested parties and the public feel the board needs to focus on during the environmental assessment of the remediation project. This workshop will also help participants to prepare for the scoping hearing in July, 2008.
