📍 Explorer Hotel – Kat D & E Rooms, Yellowknife, NT
📅 Friday, May 15, 2026
🕘 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
☕ Snacks and coffee/tea provided (no lunch)

Developed with support from Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, the new platform brings together publicly available environmental, socio-economic, regulatory, and mapping information into one interactive system to support environmental assessment, cumulative effects understanding, and major project planning across the Mackenzie Valley.

The tool is designed to improve access to information, support better coordination between organizations, and strengthen understanding of regional conditions and development pressures. It includes mapping, project tracking, baseline information, and data intended to support communities, Indigenous governments, regulators, researchers, and proponents.

This new tool represents an important step forward in improving access to environmental, socio-economic, cultural, and regulatory information across the Mackenzie Valley and the Slave Geological Province. The platforms are designed to strengthen environmental impact assessment, cumulative effects understanding, regulatory coordination, and long-term project planning in the North.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • view live demonstrations of the platform,
  • explore mapping and project information tools,
  • learn how the system can support future project planning, impact assessments, and strategic initiatives,
  • provide feedback on future development of the platform,
  • speak directly with project developers and Review Board staff,
  • provide feedback on future improvements and priorities.

All are welcome to drop in throughout the day.
